just north of the village shopping center is shorebird marsh, a thirty-one-acre wildlife habitat, also a prime spot for bird watching. and for hikers, at the southeastern edge of town, you’ll find the ring mountain preserve, a gorgeous open space overlooking the san francisco bay with wide-open hiking trails and views of san francisco.
